Immaculate Conception Church
Letter to Religious Education Parents
I pray you all had a wonderful safe, healthy and happy summer. As we draw closer to the end of summer unfortunately the mask, and social distancing are coming back! We had a little break but due to people still unvaccinated and children not able to be vaccinated yet unfortunately cases of Covid rising up again. Our staff of teachers are all vaccinated but as a protection for all your children we will all be wearing mask and ask that children attending the Religious Education Program here at Immaculate Conception Parish wear mask as well. We would ask that each child bring their own baggie of supplies of crayons, pencils, glue and scissors.
Parents we will be following the same procedure as last year; when dropping children off please only children enter the building. We will also continue our classes on Sundays at 9:00-10:00 for Grades 2-3-5-7. The Eighth-Grade students preparing for Confirmation will meet Mrs. O’Brien at the 10:30 Mass followed by class downstairs, class ending at 12:00. Tuesday classes at 4:00-5:00 for Grades 1-4-and 6.
Registration will be a celebration on Saturday, September 11, after the 4:30 Mass and Sunday September 12 after the 8:00 and 10:30 Masses in the Church Hall. Families can register while enjoying cupcakes, balloons and a beverage. Classes will begin September 19th.
**Parents we are in need of Religious Education teachers for Grades 4 and 7. Please consider helping out on Sunday mornings or Tuesday afternoons for one hour. If you are coming to drop your children off please consider staying and offering one hour a week. All the teaching materials will be given to you and the teacher manuals are very easy to follow. Please consider joining our wonderful team of teachers. Contact Mrs. O’Brien 570-9615211. I can’t wait to hear from you!
God Bless you and Your Families,
Mrs. Michele O’Brien
